“Sound column R.G.B 2.0” It works as an hybrid analog/digital oscilloscope, trying to translate in something perceivable the lower range of audible frequencies.

Computer, speaker, string, 5 R.G.B led beam; dimension variable.
In the background: “Reflective pattern”, fluorescent tape on paper, W1,8m x H5m.
“Sound column R.G.B” involves perception of sound in a visual way; it can be described as a sound composition made tangible through the relation with colour, movement and pattern in a physical way. It works as an hybrid analog/digital oscilloscope, trying to translate in something perceivable the lower range of audible frequencies.

2014, Installation
Computer, speakers, strings, strobe lights; dimension variable.
40 and 80 hz sinevwave, combined with the frequencies of 2 assigned light permit to explore simple sound in a immersive synesthesia.
The perception of the sound waves through the space is present, tangible. On the other hand the string, thanks to the movement combined with the stroboscopic effect, are perceived as intangible, almost unreal.
